Day 01 - Amritsar to Wagah Border and Local sightseeing
Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM every day. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan. This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the Iron Gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight.
Check out and drive to Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala), magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar mountains and the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening half day city tour visiting Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 - Dharmshala - Local Sightseeing
Today full day excursion visiting Jawalmukhi Temple & Chintpurni Temple - these temples are one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Also visit Kangra Town. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 - Dharamshala to Manali (250 Kms, 9 Hours)
Morning after breakfast drive to Manali. Arrive Manali and check into the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast local sightseeing of Manali “HADIMBA TEMPLE” Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway . “CLUB HOUSE” The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery, Mall Road, Van Vihar, and “VASHIST” Well known for its hot Sulphur springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama. Also visit Marhi, Rahalla Falls, Nehru Kund (Cold Water Spring-Named by Late PM Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru). Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Today enjoy excursion to Rohtang Pass also called Snow point- enjoy the beauty of year round snow caped mountains. Tourists can enjoy Snow Scooter, Ski Ride, mountain biking. Famous tourist spot Rohtang Pass is closed during Jan to April month due to heavy glaciers all around and so tourist activities can be spotted in Solang Valley during that period. Overnight Manali.
Note: Rohtang Pass will be closed on Tuesday. ( Rohtang Pass Sightseeing is not included from 15th May 2015 onwards. It will be chargeable extra payable directly by the guest)
After Breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Shimla. On the way visit Vaishno Devi Temple, Kullu, Sundernagar lake, Pandoh dam. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Today breakfast proceed for in and around sightseeing of SHIMLA, visit KUFRI, India's one of the best holiday paradise Kufri in Shimla is beautifully tucked on an altitude of 2,622 meter. The place is a tourist hotspot for its awesome scenic and sports activities. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town - “THE MALL & THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Also visit Jakhoo Temple and Hanuman Temple. Shimla's landmarks - the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church (built in 1850's) and the neo - Tudor library building - are worth seeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast we check-out from Shimla & proceed for Chandigarh. Visit Rock Garden - the lifetime dream of Mr. Nek Chand, Rose Garden And Sukhna Lake in the evening. Overnight at Chandigarh.
